Angry Columnist Ready to Dump The Gilmores

An angry columnist at Azstarnet.com has had it with the Gilmores this season. She puts some of the blame on The WB for driving away Amy Sherman-Palladino, and she's mad! Among her gripes: Why is no one (besides Sookie) more upset about the Lorelai/Luke breakup? Enough April! Enough Logan! And Lane shouldn't have gotten pregnant right away.

Did we mention that she's really mad?

Anyway, some of you have aired your frustrations with this season, but are they for the same reasons? Or is it something else that has you annoyed? Or are you not fed up at all, and you can't figure out why everyone's up in arms about this season of Gilmore? Discuss!

Lorelai & Chris and Rory & Logan are the worst couples ever.
Chris and Logan are both douche bags.
Lorelai and Rory should've been paired with Luke and Marty, respectively.
While I know that Javajunkies were somewhat satisfied with how the series ended for Lorelai and Luke, what about us Nudist fans? Marty, who was a way better match for Rory than Logan could ever hope to be, got totally screwed over. They totally wrote him out of character in season seven! And what was with the God awful Madeline and Louise wannabes named Lucy and Olivia? They sucked so hard!
WTF?!
Seasons six and seven were just plain bad, and I place all the blame on the ass who introduced Logan (LAMEST, MOST BORING TV CHARACTER EVER) to the show in season 5.
*glare*
I'm looking at you, ASP!!!

hey i think tht L/L SHULD GET back 2gether bt i also think tht the writers showed 2 many cracks in there relationship which makes me think r they write for each other i also think the april idea was toooo much drama?

What everyone seems to miss is just how bad the writing is now. The dialogue is awful. All the characters have dropped 50 IQ points. Even Kirk is no longer funny; he's just a mean jerk.

Note to David Rosenthal: Talking fast does not equal clever. You don't even understand the show you are running.

As far as I'm concerned the show (and my DVD collection) ended at Season six.

I agree w/ the angry culumnist!!! I don't like logan at all! if they got married (b/c ppl think they r) he's probably going to cheat on her or do something stupid like that life or death thing. the show is not the same! i miss the scenes in luke's diner and lor and luke flirting all the time. the show is not the same. i also miss jess, i kno he's not going to come back, but the only thing i can do is to keep wishing he'll come back!! and what is w/ lorelai and chris! what about luke!!! i miss the seasons 1-4. 5 and 6 weren't that good!! Get the old producers back!!! I can't remember there names:)

Okay, people need to get a life. If you don't like the show, then stop watching it. No need to be hating on the show cuz newsflash, it's just TV, not real life. I happen to like Chris and Lorelai together...they have this great chemistry and banter way better than Luke and Lorelai ever has. I also personally love Rory and Logan together. Both Dean and Jess treated Rory like crap and Logan is someone who actually loves her. While he might not always show it, he cares for her like no other. Rory and Logan have great chemistry and she's better with him then boring Dean and jackass Jess. Gilmore Girls is a great show and I for one have been enjoying it from the beginning. The new writer is great and people shoudn't be bashing him. I for one wasn't happy with season 4 cuz it was pretty boring and that was with Palladino, but I still watch the show to this day and I'm glad I stuck with it. People shouln't be making a conspiracy of not watching the show to get the ratings to go down, its just pathetic. If you don't like the show deal with it and let everyone else enjoy it. Lorelai n Chris forever! As well as Rogan!!

i agree with all the people that have comments about 7th heaven. even that show has changed so much. ever since the siblings have been getting married they dont appear as often as they used to. I havn't watched it in a while but where's mat been and why did Ruthy go to Scottland? any way in gilmore girls, they should have never added the part where luke's daughter April finally shows up after all those years. it just makes it all confusing to me (i dont know about anyonelse) that part should have never been added. That was one of the reasons why luke and loreli broke up.

Why am i mad at the show right now?

Because, we were lied to. L/L fans were told to "invest in these two", that they said "i love you everday in all the little things they do", that the writers wouldn't pull a "break-up/make-up", Ross and Rachel storyline and we were shown that Luke and Lorelai belong together through years of friendship, anvils, looks and love.

Now, Lorelai is not only dating Chris (the deadbeat dad that treated her and Rory like crap for 21+ years and only cared about Rory when there was a chance he could get into Lorelai's pants) but is apparently going to e***e with him in the upcoming weeks.

We've been lied to, and it's no fun. When you invest 5+ years in a couple that you were TOLD to invest in, you don't let go of that easily. L/L fans are not just going to forget the past 6 seasons just for C/L.

The love triangle has been used for years in every soap opera and crappy show out there. Heck, we've already had the Dean/Rory/Jess triangle on GG. The writers apparently have run out of ideas and gone back to the 'basic' plots on all typical dramas out there.

GG was better than those dramas and now it's just like any old show. That's why this season is horrible to watch. After watching 5 years of this amazing and brilliant show, it's not easy to sit through two 'average' seasons in a row.

L/L fans have every right to be angry; we have been cheated of the 'middle' of this couple and have been lied to as well.

i hate lorelai and chris together....if you people want spoilers www.spoilerfix.com!!!
you will be very pleased!!

The entire premis of the show was Lorelei's rebellion and her raising Rory to be the same. Suddenly she is changed from her carefree nature to a serious potential snob like her parents. The essence of the show was her personality which vanished when she seemed to loose her selfassurance with Luke and their relationship. This was a woman that raised her daughter to flaunt convention but who now seems unable to make a decision and worries about things that she never before cared about. She seemed to loose her perspective when she and Luke were together and this led to their split. Christopher represents everything she fought against all her life and is not in sinc with her character.

I've only been watching for 2 seasons but I know I don't like Chris and Loreli together. The old Loreli would never have given up on Luke so easily. They were so made for each other. The new Loreli sucks. Its like shes had a lobotemy. Suddenly agreeing with her parents way of life is just too much to swallow. Where is Loreli the rebel?

Lorelai's whole "journey" is bogus. Her relationship with deadbeat dad Christopher makes no sense.

I'll return to watch GG when/if they dump Chris and get Luke/Lorelai back together.

Too bad they had to destroy the beautiful friendship that L/L had for 10 years.

The entire April storyline was a waste of half a season as well the L/Rory rift.

I did watch TLM and Scott's acting was the only thing worth watching in that episode. He deserves an Emmy nomination for that one.

Chris/Lorelai are more like bother and sister and seeing them kiss makes my skin crawl. Get them off screen immediately.

Spoiler info is distressing so I'm not watching until 2007 at the earliest.

i absolutley HATE Christopher!!! i especially hate him with Lorelai! He has got to go! A lot of people stopped watching the show because of Christopher...so unless you want bad ratings, i suggest you get rid of Christopher!

Luke and Lorelai belong together and im sick of watching this Lorelai and Christopher junk...

--JAVA JUNKiE FOR LiFE!

Personally, I think that this season is just as great as the past ones... I've been a GG fan ever since I began watching season one.

I wanted Jess back on the show for Rory, but began lovvving Logan so it would be nice for there to be more romantic events like when he came back for Rory. However, having the guy get jealous for once instead of Rory would be a great change.

In order to keep people watching they had to change it up with Luke and Lorelai... last season was all about planning the wedding etc etc and if it stayed that way most of us would've stopped watching because it would be uninteresting. I am for Luke and Lorelai eventually getting back together because it's meant to be, and Chris getting back together with Gigi and her mother. As for now, Chris and Lorelai have chemistry that brings new excitement to the show. It would also be interesting to see if Luke got together with Anna, April's mother.

But like someone said earlier, don't focus JUST on Rory and Lorelai... the show was based on all of the different quirky and amazing characters... show more of Kirk and his hilarious stupidity, Emily and Richard with their quirks, Michel with his health issues, Sookie Jackson and her cute kids, anyway you get my drift... love the show, will never ever hate it.

i've also had it with gilmore girls....last tuesday, i didnt feel bad at all about (intentionally) missing the show. Everyone seems more "cute" than ever and it's not who they are! Emily Gilmore and Richard are all too nice and sweet and "happy"....lorelai is too cute and never shuts up....so is rory! and, in one snap, luke is gone from lorelai's life....it's a TOTALLY Different show and I'm not happy and I've had it!

I just have to say that last season with Lorelai and Luke there was no chemistry and this season there is with Lorelai and Chris. I am curious to see the direction that Rory and Logan will be going this year. It seems that everyone wants a fairy tale story but WAKE UP. This is a TV show. The writers have to change things up and keep the story interesting to keep us coming back for more. I like Luke's character and hope to see him have his on story line on the show but not with Lorelai and I would like to see Rory make new friends and continue to do fun things even though Logan is in London. It would be interesting to see him get jealous over Rory instead of Rory over him. Overall, I am enjoying this season just as much as I have enjoyed the past ones.

I agree with the columnist. I've stopped watching. I'm waiting for them to get rid of Christopher and for Lorelai to wake up and get back to who she really is.

I tried this year but I ended every episode disgusted and depressed. I know that Amy Sherman Palladino started the decline. I don't know if she could have fixed it. I don't know who to blame.

I liked Luke and Lorelai together and I've always hated Christopher so I can't even tell if the show is still funny and that just upsets me so much I don't notice, or if it's really not as funny any more.

Somehow I still get the Newsletter, that had a link to comments so that's why I'm commenting here even though i don't watch any more. I still miss it and I wanted to say why.

No, the show is not the same this year, but it's not bad either. The only thing that angers me about this season are the fans who whine and nitpick over every little thing, and critics like this one. Otherwise, I have no problems with the show.

there's too many comments to read here. hence i will just cut to the chase and get straight to the point. of course, everyone will be 'cringing' at the sight of new writers at the producing/writing helm.. i don't deny it.. so do i. as much as i hated the way the storyline goes, but i have to give dave credit for trying his best to keep to the witty humour and quirky one liners that the show always has. true, the storyline has been speeded up a bit, which is too upsetting to follow. but, why not everyone try to see it this way? maybe we will have a surprise plot coming up? you might not know. i know optimism can be a bit annoying, but i do hope that something good will come out from the show soon. who knows, right? :)

Contrary to what the angry Luke/Lorelai fans are bellowing, Dave Rosenthal is doing a pretty fantastic job of running Gilmore Girls in the wake of the Palladinos' departure.

And for all of you who are whining about getting rid of Rosenthal and bringing back Amy, you need to realize that SHE was responsible for the mess of last season: the dreadful long-lost daughter shark-jumping storyline AND the big season finale in which Lorelai slept with Christopher. Just let Dave do his thing, let Lorelai & Chris explore a real relationship. The timing has always been off for them, but now it's not. Let's see where it goes. I, personally, have always been a fan of Chris (or perhaps more accurately, a fan of David Sutcliffe), and let's be honest, it's no secret that Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson aren't exactly fond of each other. Graham and Sutcliffe, on the other hand, have loads of chemistry, and I'm very much enjoying seeing it each week.

But let us see more of the rest of the cast - Paris, Michel, Sookie, EMILY & RICHARD, etc. The show was founded on these wonderful, quirky characters, and now it seems to revolve solely around Lorelai & Rory's love lives. That's a typical & realistic part of many women's lives, sure, but it shouldn't be the main focus of the show. Get back to basics: moms, daughters, and family. (And remember, Emily is a Gilmore girl, too! We love her!)

My only criticism right now: Lane's pregnancy is the dumbest thing ever. And for someone as progressive and liberal as Rory makes herself out to be to not have even suggested the idea that Lane doesn't HAVE to have the baby is just plain dumb. Come on, she's a Yale-educated, enormously well-read young woman who surely values her own right to choose. Why wouldn't she even pose the possibility to Lane?

They can't bring Jess back because first of all they broke up in real life and second because Milo is on a new show called Heroes....which is really good...so get over it Rory and Logan are so good together!!!

I AGREE WITH HER FULLY!!! THE SHOW JUST HAS GONE DOWN HILL FROM WHERE IT USED TO BE..EITHER THE WRITER'S GET IT TOGETHER OR I'M OUT!!

THIS NEW SEASON IS GREAT!!!!!!!! I WOULDNT CHANGE A THING

HOORAY FOR CHRIS & LORELAI IVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR THEM TO BE BACK TOGETHER

In real life people change so we are giving Christopher the benefit of the doubt here. L & C do have good chemistry and really, think about it, Luke was about as stupid, clueliess, and devoid of class last year as possible. Is he even smart enough to be with Lorelei? We liked Luke with Lorelei but his behavior last year made us think. He was also a rude jerk to Logan and most others he came into contact with. And BTW, we absolutely love Logan. He is one of the brightest, most interesting characters on TV. We love how he's turning into such a success. He is great with Rory and we love them togteher. They make beautiful viewing for sure.

i wish jess could come back
rory leave logan (get with jess)luke n loreli 2gether
dont like gg dis season n getin worse

logan/rory rocks!! but i hate that Lane is pregnant. it just doesn't work. and Chris sucks! he needs to leave the show and only come back for Rory. no more Chris!!

DO NOT WATCH GG ON NOVEMBER 14.
The ONE and ONLY thing that writers and network exec listen to are ratings. If you hate the current storyline as much as I do. Record, read, surf the net but DO NOT WATCH GG ON NOV. 14.

I think that the whole Rory/Logan this is great! They are perfect for each other. He treats her so nice and lets her do her own thing. Lorelai and Chris are great also...why all the haters? Gilmore Girls Rocks My Socks!!!

It's pretty darn sad when you think that the storyline this year could have been Luke and Lorelai having a baby. :( Instead there's deadbeat dad times two--Chris--who jumped at the chance to ship Gigi off to Sherry who abandoned her.

I think that this whole Lorelai and Christopher thing has blown out of control. I know chris changed and everything but we all know that L and L are meant for each other. I was very upset when Lorelai and Chris started dating. She just broke it off with Luke like 2 days before!!! I think she is moving too fast and is only using Chris as a rebound guy. Chris should know that by now!!! HE IS ALWAYS THE REBOUND GUY WITH LORELAI!! when they slept with each other in the season finale...DIDn't CHRIS KNOW THAT LORELAI WAS STILL ENGAGED WITH LUKE.??????? he should've said NO to the whole thing. BUT of COURSE HE DIDN'T!
I don't want to watch it anymore because ever since Amy left it has gone down hill and its not funny and i don't look forward to it every Tuesday anymore!~!!!

I have to remind the columnist here that Amy Palladino, in an evident fit of pique, chose to direct the storyline down this disastrous path. The new writers could have easily extricated themselves from the unrealistic situation Lorelai found herself in, by simply having the conversation in the supermarket between Luke and Lorelai go a little differently. How about when Lorelai said she was the jerk, she was such a jerk. What if Luke said something like: "I never meant to hurt you," thus opening a meaningful dialogue between them. However, they chose to take it in a different direction, (the low road,) so they could re-introduce the whining, self-pitying, shallow, no call/no show deadbeat Dad, as a love interest for Lorelai; thus alienating the majority of the fan base. Many have stopped watching, and that will include me, as I simply cannot watch a union between Stepford Lorelai and the C-word. Very disappointing all the way around, and not very believable, either, by the way, as the timing of it all was so ridiculous. If they don't care about the current season, and it sure seems that they don't, they might want to think about syndication. They should have time, since they're obviously not expending much creativity on this story. People who invested in these characters for five years, by the way, have every right to be angry about what's happened here. The recourse is to stop watching, and many of us have, or will, starting next week.

WHAT is wrong with the writers????? The show would never have jumped the shark if L and L had gotten together, and they bring Christopher back???????? I am only still watching because surely this is just a joke????????

The show is a little different now. But that was to be expected. The question is really this: Is it still fun to watch? The answer is yes. Much less of a dropoff than was feared. Especially good is the Rory/Logan story. Logan has really turned it around and has become the brilliant, hard working, responsible man we knew he could be. The Logan story is very nicely done and very well acted. Very smooth. Looks like an enjoyable season ahead.

This is a good example of why tv journalists-(oxymoron?) should not be taken seriously. The writer bemoans the loss of the Palladinos and disses Logan in the same overwrought raving. Someone should inform her that the Palladinos created and developed Logan Huntzberger. That Logan is one of their favorite characters. That Amy Sherman-Palladino is on record saying that the addition of Logan is one of the things making the show better and increasing the show's possible longevity. We happen to agree completely with Logan's creators. He is a brilliantly conceived and acted character who brings so much charm and beauty to the show. There is no finer couple on tv anywhere than Logan & Rory. We miss the Palladinos too but the show is still well worth watching and highly entertaining. And thanks again Palladinos for brightening our Tuesdays with Logan Huntzberger. Let's see more of Logan & Rory. A real love story about caring people that we appreciate greatly.

i think lorelai should be with luke i cant explain it but i have always known that They belong togethere Chris is so not responsible he cant just like randomly change and be back. I Would love this show more if they got back togethere.

Christopher took advantage of Lorelai by sleeping with her when she was upset over Luke. He is a selfish , self centered creep and a deadbeat Dad. His influence on Lorelai has had a negative influence on her personality. She has lost her edge. I am disgusted and disappointed.

I think that this season is much better than I expected. Every episode this season has been really good. The episode with Lorelai and Chris' date & Emily gets arrested was the best episode ever. I wanted this to be the last season but now I want it to go on longer. I wish they hadn't treated Amy bad but David is doing a real good job.

OK~ the whole thing with Lane being pregnant is a huge mistake. what can they possibly gain from that story line? ridiculous.

I like the show. All the constant jumping from Christopher to Luke is what makes it more exciting. If you knew what was always going to happen then what fun would it be to watch. Personally, I like Christopher and Logan. I am a die-hard Gilmore fan and hope it stays around for a long time.

Not only do I like Lorelai with Christopher, but I also like Rory and Logan. I say keep up the great storylines! I love Luke, I do, but I don't necessarily think he and Lorelai were right together. Plus, give me a break people -- it's a TV show, they never end "happily ever after."

ok this show has been on 2 long its about a really really good girl that wont break any rules and all the weired sarcastic things they sayon this show just makes it dumb. the only reason i watched it was for the really hot guys.

Ok noone cna argue this cause there fatcs i have seen every eposide 3 billion times so trust me i am one of the biggest gilmore fan out there my firends make fun of me thats how bad my obession is.
OK i no Loreli and Luke r suppose to end up together u can tell t hat from the season finale of season 1 its just the journey they have to take. I absoutly love them together! BUT i was watching the previews and chris and loreli conversation is starting to freak me out! Now why loreli and luke go together and loreli and chris dont.
1. Rory views Luke as her dad cause christopher is never around. luke is a much more frequent character in rorys life then chris will every be
2. Chris and Loreli had chances they had like 9 million but they were never and will never be on the same boat
3.Chris is the purpose of most of loreli breakups then they get together and break up
4.Loreli knows luke loves her and she loves him right back and chris loves her but not so sure she feels the same
5. Luke has had to watch her date men ovr and ovr again and it is finaly his time chris should but out
6. Chris cant keep a girlfriend without pregnences (ex Loreli=Rory Sherry=GiGi)
7. Chris is going to fall for sherry in paris he did before loreli and chris were finally going to get together and he left because SHERRY was pregnet notice how he didnt give up anything for loreli
8 Luke waited 8 yrs to be with Loreli and she couldnt even wait 1 yr for him
9.Luke is right april is gonna like Loreli better if they meet so she couldnt wait a couple of months till they got married to meet her
10. Luke and Loreli belong together Taylor said it himself h said the realtionship they feared(which mean they knew) had started
As you can say Luke+Loreli= LOVE
Chris+Loreli=MIstake

This season is a slap in the face of all those fans who devoted 5 years to this show. The show was based on 3 things. Lorelai and Rory, the interaction with the town, and the blossoming relationship between Luke and Lorelai. (There is that annoying Rory relationship thing in there too) This season and most of last, the characters are NOT the same we have grown to love. I know there are those who would say people grow up, but these characters have grown down. They brought back Christopher which is a long dead horse, and he is starting to stink. They hardly show the townspeople anymore, and what the heck is up with Anna and April?? Bringing in those two was a very bad move. Overall, the show simply is not worth watching anymore. And before anyone says 'Well don't watch it', rest assured, I don't.

I can't know if only Sookie is upset about that Sherman chick having to kill L&L.
Because I have seen only LL scenes in 701 and 702 and some promos (and not entirely, as Lorelai kissing Chris makes me feel sick).
Anyway I go on waiting for good spoilers.
I look forward to watching the show again, as Luke and Lorelai start to date back. But it is not believable they will be together so soon. Maybe that's why we're watching the LL couple in a while.
Why is no one interested whether some LL shippers are watching the show or not?
There are other shows to watch and loads of pastimes.

I am a Luke/Lorelai fan. I don't like christopher because he never had to account for the past. He basically abandoned his baby daughter to go find himself and was never really there for her. How can Lorelai just excuse that and be with him the way she is. I also hate their lovey/dovey attitude towards each other. "oh he get's me. We have history" Try growing up for a change. Christopher is as self serving as they come. If he really loved Lorelai he would never have slept with her on the eve of her engagement break-up. The only thing going through his head was 'Now I'm gonna get some'. And that's all I have to say about that !

I HATE CHRIS/LORELAI MATCH UP! THIS SHOW IS ALL ABOUT THEM NOW AND NOT ABOUT MOTHER AND DAUGHTER. RORY NEEDS TO DROP LOGAN.SHE LOST HERSELF WHEN SHE GOT WITH HIM. LORELAI NEEDS TO BE SINGLE AND FIND HERSELF.LUKE DISTROYED HER AND SHE LET HIM.

Chris is a dead beat dad and hasn't changed, maybe for his own satisfaction. If you all remember season six stunk so don't blame the new guy. He might be trying to rid us all of Christopher for good. Time will tell. As far as morals go I truly hope my own daughter has better judgement than both Loreli and Rory and I can't say I felt this way before season six. I am going to continue to watch the Gilmore girls only because it is almost comical to see what happens next not because I'm happy with the show.

I hate the Christopher and Lorelai relationship. I think Christopher has seen a heatbroken Lorelai and made his move. I dont like the way Luke treated Lorelai when he found out about April, but she should have spoke up sooner and told him how unhappy she was when she had to postpone the wedding. And as far as Logan and Rory go I love this relationship now they are really good for each other

I cannot believe where the writer is taking this; it is so not GG anymore, more like Days of Our Lives, the story has been ruined, and the writer must have called his family to leave all the positive comments. The whole story line has revolved around L/L responses to each other, the mom and daughter thing would have died out long ago, and teens may like the R/L thing, but it gets real annoying. So this show must be taking after Felicity, and where are the actors of that show?????I dislike people who can't give fans happy endings. you must be sadistic to think people would put themselves thru that much torment. And as far as Luke not telling Lorelai about April????? What about Lorelai not telling Luke about drinking all night with Chris. and Chris took advantage of Lorelai when she was upset and that is called (RAPE) that is a good role model for out future generation..even if it is fiction...Try to remember we the fans are what keep the story going, if you don't care what we think, then the show will die a sad death, and who wants re-runs of depressing shows?????

Don't like the show AT ALL anymore. Yes, people change and relationships change, but some relationships click and some don't. Chris and Lorelei DON'T. The show is boring. The show used to be about Lorelei and Rory and their interaction with the town and it's people. Now it is just about Chris and Lorelei. BORING to the extreme! So, I will not be watching it anymore. Hope it improves, because it will be a shame for this show to go down this way.

I can't watch the show at all. Just the image of Christopher with Lorelai makes me sick. He is a total scumbag, and the writers are suddenly making him some super romantic guy. The whole thing is just gross.
It's sad, GG was the only show I looked forward to each week, now I just hope they cancel it. It's total ridiculous.

I think this season is pretty well... We all complained about last season but this season is much better storywise... ASP left us with a mess.. you don't think she would have explored C/L once again? I think she would have and I just want to say that Dave R. is doing a freaking amazing job!! Have a little faith is all I say :)

The show needs help, they are doing wrong but putting on so much chris and lorelai together the basis of this show has always been lorelai and her kooky stars hollow family (which we have hardly seen any of this season) and the friendships they share, the friendships that made luke and lorelai, thats what a gilmore girls show is all about and now with each episode they ruining a show we have loved for so long, they can say all they want about needing this story right now, but it was a big mistake, and excuse me lauren, and dr but we fans can make or break a show so show us what we want. amy started this whole big mistake and now the new writers are finishing it off! and let me tell you once they marry off chris and lorelain, even if its only for a few episodes, its going to bring down the rest of the show! dr is wrong on this one and he better fix it soon before there is no chance at all for them to return next season! And yes we who complain could just stop watching a shut up, but then where would the show be, thats a lot of people who wouldn't watch, instead we keep watching, voice our opinon and then maybe they'll listen sooner or later and we'll get the quality show we once had and deserve!!

'm so sick of ppl saying that they hate chris/lor relationship. I think they are perfect together, i never really liked the whole luke/lor. I'm gonna ave to agree with some of the pther posts, if your fed up with the GG show, then shut up and dont watch it.

I want back luke with lorelai. I dont want logan for lory either. Please people leave 7th Heaven alone.

I HATE the Christopher thing!!!! We want Luke and Lorieli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have liked this season, yeah I think some people need to be more upset with the whole Christopher and Luke situation but everyone needs a little complications in life. Lorelai is not really happy with how things turned out, but Luke was the one post poned the wedding as well as said he could not do the eloping thing. And Rory has to make her own mistakes in life to get her to a good point. She never really did make the mistakes in High School in relationships that she needs to make up for lost time. Maybe Logan is wrong for her but she needs to discover that. But then again he may be good for her in some aspects.

I'll watch til the end, because the LC/LL relationship is not the only reason why i watch this show but i hope that the writers put Lorelai out of the relationship with Chris. Maybe it must be right now but please not in the future.
And at all Chris Lovers: stop saying, look what Luke have done to her in season 6. Remember what Chris have done to her in all the other seasons.

Though I'm in the minority, I like that Christopher and Lorelai are together. I've been rooting for them since the beginning.

I never liked (and never will like) the Luke/Lorelai situation and I'm glad its over for now.

Regarding Rory and Logan: I think their relationship is where it should be. She's young and has to learn how to make it on her own, now that her beloved leading man is gone.

Will they break up? I don't know..but as long as they keep Matt C. on the show, even if it is to make a quick appearance, then I don't care.

Oh, and in case you haven't noticed: It's a television show. If people are going to get that worked up over plot lines and characters then they need to divert their eyes from their television sets and seek a more interesting life.

Gilmore girls is as great as ever. did you really expect luke and loreli to get married without any issues? especially when its been so long coming for them to even be in a relationship. I think loreli is just with Chris because its the easiest thing to do right now. it distracts her from what happened with Luke. as for rory...think back to how things with Logan were in the beginning....hes still that same guy who sweeps her off her feet and I think they are adorable together.
for all you people griping that this season is terrible...get over it...just because what you wanted to happen didnt doesnt mean that the show needs to go off the air.

this season is ok. we have to open our sense and realise that nothing stays same. its been six years, we cannot expect the show to go on forever like season 1 n 2.rory is matured. she is gng to b 22 in this season...so she needs to be in a tough relationship that might shape her future. have to agree that logan is a snob and arrogant rich spoil brat.but he is trying to change. and a fact is that he tries to make as much of time he can make.there is no way he can avoid london..and its good on him. we know the reason why logan dad has sent him to london..so i guess we shud not whine about it.that way we are able to see a good, matured responsible guy for rory. rory has confessed to jess last season with all these faults of logan she really loves logan..so we have to accept. rory deserves a rich, handsome guy..lor -chris is a different alternate..i guess its high time they try to explore their relationship n if it goes bad,im sure they will never get back together again...so its better to do this than later..lets hope we will see more drama at the end of the season..it just started..people who do not want to watch turn off ur tv...nothing more GG rocks :D

I am really tired of reading about people griping about Gilmore Girls. Don't watch and just shut up if the stories bother you. There's a lot more to life than griping about a tv show. I happen to like the new stories. The writing involving pop culture isn't as good but the characters are being written just fine thank you. Logan & Rory are shining. I don't want Rory to be in a Chilton uniform while she's a senior at Yale. She is growing up like she should. And Logan is the most charming man on all of tv. They are terrific together. A real love story to enjoy. Logan & Rory are perfect for each other and I like what the writers have done so far. So please people, either move on or shut up. The rest of us have a show to enjoy. As Paris would say: that columnist needs to up her dosage.

I WANT MY STARS HOLLOW!!!!!!!!!!

So the columnist should stop "whining" and change the channel? I don't believe he's whining at all, but changing the channel away from Gilmore is an excellent idea and I encourage him to act on it immediately. I gave up after two episodes when I realized that milquetoast Christopher wasn't going away and I got into Friday Night Lights. It's a much better show. Lorelai and Rory are completely dependent upon men. Two very *boring* men. Would be that Logan were like the Logan on Veronica Mars. Logan *Echolls* is fascinating. Would be that Christoper were anyone but Christopher. What a deadbeat. You don't suddenly become a good person because you've inherited money. Lorelai is her mother's daughter after all. GG should have ended two seasons ago. Lorelai, you're 40 honey. It's time to change, evolved, and grow up.

This season has been very disappointing.... I mean in the first two seasons I looked forward to the night that Gilmore Girls aired a new episode. Now I am just looking forward to Veronica Mars, and I just happen to sit through Gilmore Girls. Bring back the believeable storylines, and fun adventures please! For the sake of Gilmore Girls! Please!!!

People change, evolve. What appealed to a person when they're 15 is not necessarily the same thing that will appeal to them at 22. Rory has changed, I accept that. I like where Gilmore Girls has gone. The characters are a bit more mature and still witty and as amusing as always.

The columnist is a bore! If you don't like a show stop watching it and stop subjecting the rest of us to the childish whining. The show is different of course. What did you expect? It is still very entertaining. After 6 years a little change of characters is refreshing. We especially like how Logan has turned out. He is excellent this year. So stop the whining and change the channel if the show's too much for you to handle. It's not cancer research, it's a tv show.

I actually like this season better than last (minus the Lane wedding that was the best episode) and I'm liking Lorelai-Christopher BETTER than Lorelai-Luke. Luke really messed up with the whole putting things on hold and not telling her about April.

I wish palladino was still in the picture but the luke and lorelai relationship was on the rocks from last season when the palladinos were around. It was on the pallidinos watch that lore slept with chris. For all those out there who are moaning and groaning about the break up get over it and stop blaming the new writers.

I think the season is going very well. I disagree with the fact that "only Sookie" seems upset about the breakup - let's face it: the breakup has been a long time coming, and both Lorelai and Rory grieved in their own way. They're moving on in their own way and their own time.

AS-P was great, but I think the show is still as good as it ever was.

Do what I did, kids. Spare yourself the pain and QUIT WATCHING. I decided I'd be damned if I was going to watch Lorelai and that whiny, horrible Christopher; I took a deep breath and turned off the set. I haven't regretted it. Gilmore needs to be put out of its misery.

I don't understand why everyone thinks this season is so crappy? I think it's great and I actually can't understand why everyone is so mad. Things can't always be perfect in life like Gilmore Girls was in the first few seasons. Now that relationships are having problems, people seem to be so angry and I don't understand why. That's life.

I agree with everything that columnist said. The storylines are ridiculous this season. I'm fine with Lorelai exploring a relationship with Chris, but so soon after breaking things off with Luke!? She acts like they never had a relationship. And Rory just annoys... the old Rory would never have been interested in an arrogant snob like Logan. The only character who remains true to form is Emily -- she never disappoints.

I agree with Michelle Ann. I love this season of gilmore girls. i know i haven't seen the previous seasons, but still i enjoy tuning in every week to see what happens like with loreli and christopher. i actually like them as a couple.
a

and about your comment, Anthony, i disagree with you to gilmore girls is WAY!! better than 7th heaven this season. this season of 7th heaven sucks. all the main cast members such as ruthie and simon aren't even there. this season is pathetic.

Having only just started watching this show in Season 6, I really enjoy it. But then all the hardcore fans tell me that it was so much better in the early years. Why? What was so much better about it? I really want to know, because I think it's adorable now and I can't imagine it being much better.

For me it's like a train wreck. I can't not watch. I have to see how bad it'll get each week. And even though the characters are mere shells of who they used to be, I still care about them and want to see where they end up. This show has changed SO much since the early seasons -- and not for the better -- that it depresses me.

This show doesn't even deserve my comment but here it is:

Put Stars Hollow out of its misery!!!

This season is absolutely terrible. Why on earth would a new show runner come in and destroy a critical fave like this?

This season 7 of Gilmore Girls is jumping the shark 100 times worse than 7th Heaven's season 7! Not to mention that 7th Heaven actually got more enjoyable this season, unlike GG! Yikes.
