While Lana annoys me often, she can't leave the show. She's instrumental to Clark's human yearning side. The show would lose a LOT of tension if she left.

I think one major reason for people wanting Chloe out is that Clark relies on her too much and she is used as a plot solving device all the time.

As for Chloe hate, I guess, her fans are responsible.

I used to love Chloe, but when I start seeing Chloe fans' unfair and pathetic bashing of Erica Durance/Lois Lane, and the lame "Chlois" thing, I lost all my interest in her.

Not only that, Chloe fans have senselessly bashed Justin, Aaron as well as Kristin too, over the past few weeks.

I've seriously started disliking Chloe a lot after her fans put up really pathetic remarks about Erica Durance when she was Star of the Week on CW Source.

I guess if Chloe fans develop a positive attitude, she might win back fans she lost due to this futile battle started by her fans.

I cannot believe that so many people want Chloe out! when I go to the lounge there are so many Chloe fans! Chloe is my favourite character!
As for Lois, I think she is good. Yeah, it is pretty suprising that she came so soon but she is funny and I like her.
Lex... what do I say? He was my favourite character along with Chloe for such a long time. Everyone told me that he would turn evil but I couldn't help it. And now, of course, he is bad. But I wouldn't want him to go and everyone knows that at the end it is about Lex vs. Clark so there isn't really a chance for that.
And Lana. Well I never really liked her. I don't hate her but I found her annoying. She is getting pretty corrupted now. I can just see her leaving Lex and Lex going all evil...

Chloe logically should be the one to leave, for two reasons:

- Smallville is moving towards Superman mythos. Chloe is not in the mythos, so I guess, she either dies in this story or leaves Smallville.

- Clark's too much reliance on Chloe has become a hindrance in his development as Superman.

If Chloe dies, her death could be used as a catalyst to help Clark embrace his Superman destiny.

Or if she leaves, the emotional conflict can help Clark.

Also I think Lionel might die and his death drives Lex towards becoming more evil.

IMO, it should be either Chloe or Lionel this season.

After reading the comments, I can see that those anti-chloe people have continuously voted. The comments here are 80% Lois.

Anyway, I am a fan of Chloe and Lois. I think Erica adds great humor to the show. I loved her in Sneeze. She's becoming a little more serious now, with Oliver. Please bring back her humor.
I think Chloe is a phenominal character. Allison always delivers the most difficult lines.

This season started excellently, with Zod and Sneeze. But since then, there hasn't been an episode as great as either of those.

I would want Lana to leave. She has become nothing but a nuisance. And she's way too cruel to Clark. Her and Lex are going to blame him for everything. It's very annoying. I haven't liked Lana for a while now. But at least Isobel was interesting. Kristin did very well as her.
Seriously, Lana has way more screen time than Clark! That's a problem.

I've skimmed through almost all of the posts so far. I'm shocked at how mean so many of you are about your personal opinions! We have this opportunity to express our feelings about something that entertains us, but calling names???...aimed at a TV series' character(s?)? As a fanbase, we sure do amplify DIVERSITY. As individuals, we can't all like the very same thing, so lighten up, PLEASE. Can we Allow the individuality without being so vicious? Threats? If you don't feel any true loyalty to Smallville as a worthwhile pasttime, then don't watch it. I think that there are enough of us 'Loyal-to-the-end' fans of Smallville or the Clark Kent/Superman Mythos to support it as long as it's good storytelling. That's me, and I haven't had any major disappointments over the previous 5 seasons.
OK, well now, I want to have MY opinion and vote. I do like everyone, just some not as much as others. I beleive in following through on a storyline. I trust that the writers who've been doing such a great job, IMHO, since the series started have learned when certain plot twists or insertions don't work. They have been very mindful of how they tell Clark's story. They're being 'watch-dogged' by DC Comics, afterall. I don't like the Jimmy Olsen character...yet. He's such a doofus, but I don't want Chloe to NOT have a boyfriend. I hope he'll just get better and more interesting in future episodes. Lois is a bit hyper, but that's Lois. I don't like the mean, disrespectful things she says to Clark and I don't think they're funny either. She talks too fast, but she's definately Clark's match. They're like polar opposites, though. In the Arrow episode, I saw Lois as I thought she should be, finally. Smallville has altered the Clark Kent/Superman Mythos in such a way, IMPROVED IT, I must say, that it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to share his secret with Lois. They're already like sister & brother now, so I'm positive Lois would be completely loyal to him. She'll see him with new eyes, show him some respect and make room for the possibility to fall in love. They can Really work together then. So, she stays. Chloe is Clark's best friend and confidante. She's so smart, she'll always be an asset in their relationship. He needs her. She must stay. Clark told Martha at the end of "Solitude" that she was his soul. He will always need her or her memory and what his parents taught him to keep him anchored. I know it won't last with Lexana, even with the baby. So, while she's still in the mix, I hope her purpose will be to help Clark realize how much better off he is without her and that they were never meant to be together. Since Lana had formed a close friendship with Lex via their partnership with the Talon, it had been the real reason that he shouldn't have shared his secret with her. So, Close that chapter of his life lessons and it's LANA who should go.

Personally, I want Lois gone.. she is Clark's future but does NOT belong in Smallville..

Why do people want Chloe to leave?! I think she's awesome. Lana, on the other hand, is getting old. I'm tired of her. And why on earth would anyone even bother voting for Lois...we all know she's not going anywhere.

I think Lana needs to leave the show for a while. After she and Lex break up and she loses the baby she's supposed to have (you know that's what's going to happen, unless it's Chloe's baby), it might make sense anyway. Flee the rest of Season 6 and comes back to Season 7 all refreshed and ready to be a character again.

Definitely don't want to see Martha go. She's the rock of the show.

I voted for Lana to be the one to move on -- preferably in a way that helps drive more of a wedge between Clark and Lex. That'd be an exciting storyline!

I think it should be Lana to go, she has sort of out lived her purpose in the Smallville mythos. We are now moving toward Lois Lane Investigative reporter. Lex Luthor evil genius. Clark Kent Superman and Investigative reporter.

These are things we need to move toward. We've got Jimmy Olsen around now in the DP. We are moving on toward the Superman mythos.

I just don't see Lana fitting in anymore with the new mythos they're creating.

If they're going to get rid of Chloe. I'd rather see her get some new job that pays brilliantly in Gotham or something and perhaps comes back one time or another with Bruce Wayne and this introduce Batman into this Justice League they are forming in Smallville.

Easy! Lana is the most boring character. "Solitude" was a great episode last year becuase it didn't have Lana in it. Every Lana scene is like every other Lana scene. Yawn.

Get rid of Lana. She's presented as a role model for girls and she's horrible! All she does is go from guy to guy. I am dreading this stupid baby plot which would have seemed a cliche, like, 50 years ago. Get rid of her & focus on the women that actually work hard: Chloe, Lois and Martha. Some people got turned off because of GA may be right, because they may simply not like him, but overall, the ratings improved after Whither.

Arrow was promoted as a GA episode and picked better ratings than Whither.

After Arrow got good reviews, Reunion picked significantly increased ratings, even though it was promoted as a Ollie/Lex episode.

I guess people like to watch good storylines. Reunion was a good episode. Clark may not have been in the promos, but he came out very good in the episode itself. Took charge of things, investigated independently, and built a good relationship with Ollie.

I don't think he is over-rated either. He's a guest star with a major arc with Clark, Lex as well as Lois, so I guess he needs the due publicity.

Besides, I think Justin is a great addition to the cast, even though, for a limited time sadly. I think that most fans loved having Justin on show, specially because of Clark/Ollie's friendship.

Which is why I said I don't understand when many Chloe fans bash Ollie at CW blog or other websites.

But I don't hate Oliver. In fact, I think he has great chemistry with Lois, and I like them together. It's good to see Clark have a male friend on the show after Pete left too. So when GA leaves, will BOW WOW be Clark's new male friend????!! (shock and surprise)

Lana. Its really time for her days with the show to come to an end. At this point, they are desperately trying to find things for her to do, hence the contrived and downright ickky Lexana. Let her find out the secret, repair her friendship with Clark, and then go off to Europe or wherever to find herself. Give her a good exit...but please, give her an exit.

Dump Lois. She's a pathetic excuse for Lois Lane and that's why so many people think Chloe Sullivan is the real Lois on this show and if she isn't, she should be. Let's stop the awful nonsense of making the hero of this tale look bad by choosing the wrong girl every time. Let's finally show us the hero getting a clue and going for Chloe at long last. Anything else, including even a hint of romantic interest between Clark and Lois who treat each other like annoying siblings is revolting. Someone called it space incest and that's about right.

Tom Welling is great as Clark but he needs decent material to work with. Bring us what Smallvile promised in Vessel or say goodbye to your audience.

Hey Claire that poll should have been a multiple choice vote. I would have chosen Chloe, Lana and Lois as the characters to leave smallville. Both Chloe and Lana hinder Clark and Lex character to progress.

Without Chloe Clark can use his brain, do his own research and if he needs help he can ask Jor-El. Without Lana Lex can still become evil. If he sees Lionel's interaction with Martha and Clark that is enough to send him off the edge. At this point Lois doesn't affect either Clark or Lex's destiny.

If I have to choose to eliminate someone because I dont like the character...then.....nope!...can't think of any single charcter to leave. They all play an important part.

So by the saving grace of Clark Kent, and the fact that you don't have him as an option in the poll....then maybe he could stay....but I could change my mind tomorrow!! LOL!

Now, in choosing someone to leave becuase it will create a turning point in the story...hmmm...how about Lex go on vacation in the Bahamas, get bitten in the ass by a kryptonite-induced jelly fish, and then returns to Smallville as the real villain he is supposed to be! HA HA! Your best idea yet Smallville!!

ok, but on a serious note, Clark ought to go to obtain his lessons. I predict the end of season 6. So that will happen over the summer, and if SV returns for season 7, then he should have some cool knowlege and extra extra strength that the writers should gradually let us see.

My vote for who should leave next? "Lois," absolutely. And I hope she takes Green Arrow with her. I want an end to GreenArrowville. Put the show's focus back on Clark and Chloe. Please.

After she and Lex part ways (which you totally know is going to happen eventually, as hot as they are together), I think she needs a vacay in Barbados or somewhere like that. I hope its Clark who leaves Smallville to do some travelling which can happen in the second half of the season and in the final episode he can fly with his suit. Clark has been steps towards his destiny this season. I fear if we have another season of Smallville Clark will move backwards instead of moving forwards.

If Green Arrow is good enough to be on the banner ads for Thursday nights, he's good enough to be on the poll to be kicked off...but oh no wait...it's kiss JH's ass time right on the eve of more Green Arrowville this week. That's who I'd choose to go.

Well something has to keep fans interested in the blog and the enemity going. Good on Claire etc for creating some interest in shows when the actual network won't do anything in promoting their shows properly. Any interest is good interest right? Especially when ratings are down for the CW according the EW mag. They're doing worse than UPN and WB each did on their own.
