Crowned Recap: Momma Needs a New Suit
Last night's Crowned episode separated the good from the bad but left us wanting more drama. Where's the drama? Where are the catfights? The most exciting part of the entire show was the new theme song.
Once the intro was over, we were taken to the mansion where Angela from team "Skin Deep" went off about how they made it past the first round because they worked so hard. We don't know who she was trying to convince of her hard work, but they've only made it past one judging and all they had to do was beat out a mother/daughter team who couldn't keep their yaps shut long enough for Carson to critique their poor outfit choice.
The next day a few of the teams took some time to change the names they had unimpressed the judges with. The "Blonde Bombshells" became the "Goal Driven Gals," "Sassy Sisters" transformed into the "Goal Getters," the evil "Redheaded Bombshells" somehow came up with "Sexy-Sincere Reds" and "Silent But Deadly" *snicker* changed to "The Realists."
The first part of this two-part challenge was for the daughters to pick out a new bathing suit for their mothers. The guest judge had something to say about almost each and every one of the bathing suits. We loved it when Patty was told to cover up a bit more. Can someone also tell her to stop getting work done? She's starting to look like Joan Rivers. When all was said and done, the "Goal Getters" (Jill and Nicole) won the challenge, which left some of the other contestants a bit miffed.
Back at the ranch Angela and Tania were drinking some Haterade and started going off on how they don't think Jill and Nicole are that pretty. Jealousy is a bitch, and so are they. Of course, they aren't the only ones whose tiaras may have to be adjusted to accommodate devil horns; "The Goal Driven Gals," "Sexy-Sincere Reds," and "Hot and Not" seem to be rounding out the dark side. Of course, the sweeter side is comprised of sugar and spice and all things nice; "Dream Gals", "Daredevil Divas," "The Realists," "Goal Getters," "Diamond Divas," and we're assuming the "Tomboy Queens" but it's hard to tell since they seem like they're on another planet altogether.
The second part of the challenge was for the daughters to come up with a one minute fitness routine, incorporating three different exercise techniques and making it as mom-friendly as possible. Words will not do the routines justice, but it's safe to say that for the most part, they were terrible. Angela and Tania were under the false impression that they could, "...get down with the get down." Their routine looked like a poor excuse for the Kid 'n Play dance mixed with tripping on their laces. Patty's face never changed expression while Laura's face looked excruciatingly creepy. Gina and Hollis, while absolutely adorable, brought in a bit too much musical theater which prompted Carson to tell them, "You were too Broadway, which I can't believe I said as a gay man." The "Daredevil Divas" shocked us; they were awesome! Lots of acrobatics and the mom was able to do the splits. Have you checked out the guns on those girls? They are jacked!
Elimination was no shocker as the judges called out our garnets in the rough, "The Tomboy Queens," "The Realists," and "Goal Driven Gals" as their bottom three teams. In the end, the judges asked that "The Tomboy Queens" take the shears and de-sash "The Realists," thus proving that changing their name couldn't make them stink any less.
Next week's previews look like tensions in the house are rising steadily and we're finally going to get some serious fighting. Whose fitness routine did you like the most? Were you surprised by which team got eliminated?
Comments
I feel like alot of the people on the show are more talk than anything. The Sexy-Sincere Reds think they are so pretty and the best there ever was but they look like 2 red headed mice with big ears.and the Goal Driven Gals have to stop acting all ghetto and like there not evil. They should have been the ones to leave last night 2. they were awful.
