CW Stars Up for Multiple Teen Choice Nominations
Eonline reports that Gossip Girl received a whopping 14 Teen Choice nominations, including Best Drama, Best Breakout Show, and Choice TV Actor/Actress.
It's true that GG is everywhere on the list of nominations. All three female leads (Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Taylor Momsen) are up for Best Breakout Female Star, and we were especially excited to see Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass nominated for Choice TV Villain along with Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum. But One Tree Hill also earned its fair share of nominations, including Choice TV Drama, Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush for Choice TV Actress and Chad Michael Murray for Choice TV Actor. Our complaint: where are James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Galeotti? They deserve some noms, too!
Other shows represented include America's Next Top Model (Cycle 10 winner Whitney is up for Choice TV Female Reality Star, Tyra is up for Choice TV Personality, and the show itself is in the running for Choice TV: Reality Beauty and Makeover), Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (for Reality Music Competition), and Smallville (Choice TV Show Action/Adventure, Choice TV Actor/Actress Action/Adventure for Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk). Even Beauty and The Geek made the list with a nomination for Choice TV: Reality Beauty & Makeover.
Notably absent from the list: Supernatural and Reaper. And what about Everybody Hates Chris, Aliens in America, Girlfriends, and The Game? We think these shows were seriously overlooked -- do you agree?

I was pretty shocked to hear that Supernatural wasn't nominated for anything. How on earth is that possible?? Its the best show on The CW.

Where is James Lafferty and most importantly Jensen Ackles i really think these guys should not of been overlooked.Its so unfair that "Supernatural" was overlooked i personally feel its one of the best shows on tv.
At least "One Tree Hill" and " smallville " earned a few nominations. Really happy though for "Smallville's" Michael Rosenbaum. He is a brilliant actor

Bethany Joy Galeotti is the best actress on OTH. Point blank. The girl is incredible. She can convey a feeling with just one look. No dialogue needed. That's absolutely powerful.
It's sad that awards show are based on actors/actress being popular, that has nothing to do with talent. Oh, what this world has come into. Pathetic.

The newbies of Gossip Girl did not deserve those nods before Bethany Joy Galeotti. No way. They're too green and unexperienced. Bethany Joy is hotter, more popular, and obviously more talented.
All Gossip Girl has ridding behind them is pap and gossip blogs...

Gossip Girl 14 nominations? Give me a break.What a joke!!! What about Supernatural/Jensen and Jared? What about James and Joy from OTH?
More glamourized media pimpage of GG, a show that's not even worth all the hype.I understand that GG is the CW's darling child, but it's lame how much attention a mediocre show garners. I expect the same favortism to be descended down upon 90210 next season. Geez and they wonder why some shows dont stand a chance.If they thoughtfully put their marketing schemes into play concerning the CW shows as a whole and not just on GG, maybe things would improve for the network.

I love gossip girls, but I don't think they should win the Choice TV Actor/Actress category because the cast on one tree hill are way better actor/actress and yes bethany should have been nominated.

Thank you for bringing up the injustice of Joy and James being looked over for nominations.It's ridiculously asburd that they were both left off the ballot.
Nathan and Haley may have not had a completely happy time onscreen, but it did provide for some intense moments in several episodes where both actors elevated themselves and were fantastic.Episode 5.02,5.10, and 5.12 come to my mind immediately. I dare someone from the TCA comittee of voters to watch those scenes and tell me that Joy and James don't deserve award consideration especially looking at some other nominees that were chosen.

Most noms are well deserved. But yeah Bethany Joy Lenz and ALLISON MACK are missing from the list.

After season five? Bethany Joy Galeotti deserves the recognition for her amazing work.
Her acting in the 100th episode alone, proves why her versatility and heart knows no bounds. She can just stand on screen with no lines and portray such strong emotions. She's hardly the least popular, or least talented. She's aruably the most talented actress on the CW.
TCA just proved why they're garbage. Kudos to Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush, but Bethany Joy Galeotti deserved a nomination.

I agree leave Joy & James is sad, because they were great this season. being a NH fan it's really disrespected.
Also If I had to pick I would say Hilarie and Chad were amazing in there scenes together, especially Hil she made me feel her pain in every scene this season. Joy and Hil did a great job their scenes.

Bethany Joy is by far the BEST actress on one tree hill, it is not fair she wasnt nominated becuase she truley deserves it, these awards arent about talent its about how big you are and thats just not fair james and joy desernved a nomination.. its just not fair

It's not fair. Joy and James did an amazing job this season. They should get noms too.
But Hilarie and Chad deserved the noms. Their scenes together were very powerful as well.
