welcome back jackie!
in my opinion, i think peyton is clearly to blame. Open your eyes people! Lucas is also wrong, but just listen to this! Brooke even said it, HE's a guy! And he only knew her this year, while Peyton knew brooke since they were youngins'. What happened to ho's over bro's? Also, the BIGGEST indicator that peyton is at fault is: when lucas and peyton stay at that hotel, when lucas went down with her to see if Larry was still alive. There, they start having sex, but lucas stops after getting the necklace untangled. Peyton says and has the expression like "Why'd you stop?". CLEARLY, not feeling one bit remorse for her actions. LUCAS then HAD TO TELL HER "Brooke." And that's when it all stopped! COME ON! PEYTON is pathetic. If she was that sorry, she would have felt guilt or some sort of remorse, which she didn't. Lucas had to be there to remind her. OH! and some of you Leyton fans think that Lucas just tagged Brooke along with the situation, and that brooke was in the middle of it all, blah blah Leyton are destined? MAKES NO SENSE because Lucas went after BROOKE AGAIN, and tol d her two emberassing speaches of why HE WANTS TO BE WITH HER NOOOT PEYTON! That, to me, seems like more love than Leyton has ever potrayed. All leyton do is complain and argue, they never have fun or enjoy themselves! I've only seen one scene when they finally do. Brooke was much more of a love than Peyton. They actually had fun, and opposites attract, sort of like with Nathan and Haley, complete opposites! Leyton is not destined. They are too in love with the "idea of them together" but when they are together, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEMSELVES! they just don't. In the end, Lucas should die a lonely man. He is nothing but trouble. ( i say this as a brucas fan)

that is the first time ive ever listened to your guys podcast and i feel like i should all the time. it was funny and nice to see what other people think.

i do think that lucas is most at fault but clearly peyton is too.
im not saying that brooke has a right to get hurt like this but before she dated lucas..she knew lucas liked peyton and she thought peyton may like him too. i just wish she would have waited longer before she tried to get with a guy she thinks her friend likes..

like the ep when peyton gets drugged. while they are sitting there watching over peyton..brooke is hitting on lucas while she knows how lucas feels. i dont know..but please dont think that i dont believe they arent in the wrong casue i think they are.

also..im sure you guys believe that haley and lucas are so cute together..and the way they came together at the end was nice to see..nathan going to the hospital for haley really showed how much he cared and i liked that

omg jackie!!! its so great to have you back!! you were the voice of reason!!! cuase these other two chicks are off the wall!!! lol jk i love you you sarah and mia!!!

Lucas made the first move to pursue Peyton after she told him to bury it. She doesn't want to hurt Brooke. She is trying to be the voice of reason, but, I do believe her feelings for Lucas overrule her head - temporarily (you'll see next week). I do blame him more. In the hallway, she is saying no we can't do this and he pushes the issue and kisses her. I take issue with the fact that Brooke knew Peyton had a thing for Lucas before she went after him. In Brooke's own words Lucas and Peyton were "totally hot for each other"...and still are.

OK, soo it is BOTH peyton and lucas's fault!! u cannot just blame lucas peyton put her lips on her best friend's boyfriend!!! soo its both peytons and lucas's fault! and seriously nathan did not start dating haey to get to lucas he did go to her for tutoring at first to get to lucas but not when he dated her, like thier first kiss that was reall liking her!!

I have to say I was a bit dissappointed by this week's podcast.
You guys barely touched on the Naley issues.
We all know you guys can't stand Lucas and blame him for the whole triangle, but can we move on and touch on some of the other story lines?

Hi Girls, great podcast. I dont neccessarily agree with everything you guys say but you did a great job.

Its interesting how some people solely blame Peyton. As an LPer I blame all three and this list is not in order because I find then all equally to blame. Now my dislike for Brooke is down to her behaviour after the end of the whole cheating thing and many seasons after. So here goes my reasons:

Brooke: I dont think she should have gone after Lucas when she knew Peyton kissed him and Lucas has a thing for her. By knowing this and still going after Lucas, she has only herself to blame in this situation. As someone has said before, Lucas was a game to her in the beginning and I dont think Brooke cared enough if Lucas and Peyton had a thing going on between them. She only trully wanted him because he was the first guy to be nice to her and not just want to benefit with her. Therefore in Brooke's world forget Peyton/Lucas even Nathan and Haley which she screwed with, when Brooke wants something she goes after it and does not care if the guy is interested in her or her so called bff is interested in him. So I find it hard to just feel sorry for her and think of her as a victim in this situation. Although cheating is wrong, you could see the Lucas/Peyton situation happening a mile away and Brooke thinking Peyton feels like a third wheel when she walked out of the cafe just goes to show that Brooke sees/hears/believes what she wants. If Brooke and Peyton where really great friends she would have known that going after Lucas was not the right idea and not gone after him. This leads me to Peyton.

Peyton: She should have spoken up sooner and told Brooke that she is interested in Lucas as it seems Brooke was not understanding by her staying silent that she was interested in Lucas. I know its sometimes scary to express your feeling but her biggest mistake is not speaking up and telling Brooke from day 1 how she felt about Lucas, or Brooke going after Lucas or Brooke kissing Lucas or Brucas being together. Another fault is Peyton should have told Brooke about the kiss sooner and not sneaked around Brooke's back. I think Brooke finding out was not the best way, Peyton should have gone up and spoken to Brooke before continuing to kiss Lucas or thinking of a relationship with Lucas. I think Peyton's inability to express herself has in turn ended up making her the "evil" one in the cheating/triangle debate. I dont think it is a right judgment for people to make because expressing your feeling is not the easiest thing to do so for people that are able to do so I applaud them but people that deal with a lot of pain in life tend to be more reserve and not so expressive. This is why I can feel bad for Peyton in this situation, especially as her biggest crime is not expressing herself. Now to Lucas.

Lucas: I can understand the hate for Lucas even though I dont hate Lucas. Personally I feel Lucas should not have strung Brooke along knowing that he had a thing for Peyton. I think the night Peyton came to tell him how she felt he should have been man enough to be honest with Brooke then. I know he said he was hiding because he didnt want to get hurt again by Peyton rejecting him but in the process he used Brooke and ended up hurting her. Also he should have realised what he said to Peyton was really heavy and he didnt even bother talking to her about it but decided oh well Brooke is here and fun so am not gonna deal with my issues with Peyton by kissing Brooke and hiding with her. I know guys can be slow sometimes but Lucas made the situation more complicated by kissing Peyton's bff rather than dealing with the issue with Peyton. Also they could have told Brooke the truth and forgotten about the kiss at the motel but he continued to pursue Peyton and although the whole cheating thing is wrong it proves my point if Lucas had spoken to Peyton and dealt with their issues there would not have been a reason to cheat or the triangle. He made a huge mistake and now its blowing up in his face. I dont think Lucas is a bad boy but a boy than needs to deal with his situation as a man and follow his heart instead of always hiding.

Anyway, I think they are all to blame but at the same time you can look at things from different view points. Its not all black and white in this case, Lucas or Peyton. Some might be surprised but next eppy I actually felt bad for Brooke, especially the mall scene. I felt really bad for her watching it the first time but we are in S5 so things have changed over the yrs. Anyways am out and keeping up the Leyton love. Take care all.

P.S We can all blame Mark Schwahn for creating this whole mess that just wont quit. Never have I hated a triangle as I do with this show.

Oh Jackie how we've missed thee LOL! Great to have you back.

My stance on the whole who to blame Peyton or Lucas is this. If you are a third party outside of the triangle, Lucas is the bigger blame! Haley was right to be pissed at Lucas and not so much with Peyton. Lucas was the instigator and he couldn't decide.
BUT if your Brooke, Peyton is the person you should be more pissed off at. Boys are replaceable but best friends shouldn't be.

Nathan being the one to wake up Lucas was sort of kind of odd but brotherly moments are nice even though one of them is in a coma. I do agree that this is one of my favourite Lucas episodes. I think my favourite though is in Season three, Everyday is a Sunday Evening. ... because he's not in the episode.

Nathan redeemed himself again. Glad you ladies actually spent some time talking about him and I guess a little with Haley. I think you spend the same amount of time talking about Jake and Whitey than you do with Nathan and Haley. Though loving Jake is something I don't mind hearing.

Dan got a hug ... if only that would cure him of his evil ways.

Can't wait for next episode!

WELCOME BACK JACKIE! SO weird and funny that you and "Karen" came back from Italy at the same time! And customs sucks nowadays... They always take my food and drink and through it away! GRRR!!!

Aww poor Lucas. I think he's a good guy, and I bet this is the first time he's made a really huge mistake.

I blame both him and Peyton for the cheating scenario, but I honestly blame Peyton more. She insisted that she wasn't interested and told Brooke had nothing to worry about. She's been her best friend for years. Brooke is way more important to Peyton at this point than she is to Lucas. Peyton should definitely be thinking more about Brooke's interests, but she isn't.

And I noticed something about hospitals and OTH! Whenever someone is in the hospital that's somehow connected to or IS Lucas, Peyton runs to the hospital (or tries to) without mentioning it to his girlfriend Brooke. But when Peyton is Lucas' girlfriend and Brooke finds out first, she makes a point to tell Peyton first. I just thought it was interesting.

I loved the Nathan and Lucas moment, and the Haley and Lucas moment, no matter how cheesy it may have seemed.

The Dan hug was definitely a shocker.

Haley crying in Lucas' arm and Karen crying at the WE MISSED YOU banner were heartbreaking! And so was Brooke saying the things she loves about Lucas!

Jackie, what were you doing in italy?

Welcome back Jackie!

I hold both Lucas and Peyton responsible, although I tend to hate Peyton more for the whole thing.
Yes Peyton isn’t the one who is in the relationship and she feels really guilty, BUT she’s Brooke’s best friend! She’s known Lucas for what? A couple of weeks, she’s been best friends with Brooke for 7 years! It doesn’t matter how guilty she feels, she needs to tell Lucas to stop or tell Brooke!

I love the Lucas bashing in the pod cast, its probably my favourite part. I completely agree with Sarah - Love Brooke, Love Peyton (when she’s not being a whore with Lucas). But despise Lucas.
I hate how he’s always made out to be this moral centre of the show, who’s just the confused hero and who everybody loves. He’s being an ass right now, he cant decide between two girls, so he’s playing them both to get what he wants. I prefer him comatose.

I cant believe some people actually blame Brooke for the cheating! Brooke gave Peyton so many opportunities to tell her how she felt about Lucas; but Peyton didn’t! So she has to deal with it and stop going to Lucas!

I loved the Karen/Brooke scenes, Brooke is so funny when she babbles. I’m glad we get more Karen/Brooke moments in the show.

Another great pod cast overall,
Keep up the Lucas Bashing (Y)

yAY Jackie's back, Welcome back! Saearh I laughed so much when you said that this was some of Chad's best acting. lol Like I said last week I completely blame Lucas. This is all of his fault. He wants the best of both worlds. A couple of episodes ago I was blaming before of them and now I just blame Lucas. Love the podcasts. can't wait till next week

Does anyone not remember that Peyton and Lucas were dealing with each other before Brooke wanted to make him one of her many conquest? Why is everyone coming down on Peyton? Peyton was dealing with / talking to Lucas first. If I am dealing with someone my bestfriend knows not to make him one of her conquest. I blame Lucas for the simple fact his feelings are with Peyton anyway and yet he still chose to be with Brooke. I also blame Brooke because she knew Peyton and Lucas were dealing with each other. I think with Brooke Lucas started off as a game to her, when Peyton and Lucas were dealing with each other. When Brooke realized he didn't just want to sleep with her and was different from other guys she had dealt with thats when she started to really like him.

Poor guy, he's laying in a coma and all you guys can do is diss him=p

Good podcast, I like to hear your POV's, even though i rarely agree with them=p
What can I say, I love Lucas and you all hate him... therefore no way I can even remotely agree=p I do agree he made some pretty bad choices though!

Welcome back Jackie:D
Lucas and Peyton are both to blame, Peyton is a b**** cause she know how much Lucas mean to Brooke.
ANd Lucas is having both girls.

I was disappointed, cause you did not talk about eh speech Brooke gave to Karen. Where she tells her about all she wants is to see Lucas laugh again, hear him sing off key again, watch him roll his eyes when she steals french fries from him. Where she tell her that she is crazy about him. And then she asks if that is enough. And Karen says that that is more than enough:)

Brucas FOREVER<33

I blame all 3 of them. Brooke was stupid enough to go after Lucas when the whole school knew how Lucas has always felt about Peyton, Peyton well she betrayed her friend Brooke. Calling BP best friends is just to weird to me. Brooke barely knew about Peyton's mom's anniversary so I dont count them as BFF like LH. Umm Lucas has the most to blame because he stupidly got in the relationship with someone he had no feelings for whats so ever. Lucas will admit this in S3. All in all I feel bad for either B/L or P at all they knew what they all were getting their selves into so suck it up. As you can see Karen actually knew Peyton yet was shocked to see Brooke coming up to her saying she was Luke's girlfriend so really I just think had I been Brooke would have never tried to go their with Lucas at all. Had I been Peyton I would have stop being such a bitch and admit how I felt and well Lucas is a guy so what ever. Mark ruined him and has turned Nathan into a one women man when Lucas is suppose to be the old soul give me a fckin break. Any ways loved you guys this week. Did not care to listen to last week because I refuse to hear you guys go off on my favorite episode of S1 with my favorite characters LOL anyways cant wait for next week. Jake and Peyton seriously I just dont see it at all

Well I loved the Podcast again....lol... I personaly burst out in laughter at Brookes Sugar coma comment... she's just so cute.By the way I agree that this whole who to fault more debate is pointless, they should both be held accountable. It takes two to tango and I wouldn't care if Peyton was in tears while she kissing Lucas because she felt so bad. Her guilt means nothing! She's not honest and she still participates in the BS. With friends like her who needs enemies? Not Brooke thats for sure.

Welcome back Jackie!!! Wow... great podcast guys! I think I laughed through the whole thing, and I did agree with most of what you guys said.

Well, I guess I'm the first to say that I blame Peyton, just because she's the BEST FRIEND. In life, most girls have had their boyfriend cheat on them, and usually the person you turn to is your BF. But what do you do when your BF's the skank. A guy is a guy, but friendships are supposed to mean something. I’m sorry but Lucas is not holding a gun to Peyton’s head. She knows what she’s doing is wrong and still does it anyways. I don’t care how bad she feels, because that just shows me that she truly doesn’t care about her best friend’s feelings because she’s letting it go that far even though she feels terrible. And to tell you the truth girls are the ones who choose to be with someone, not the guy. Peyton is choosing Lucas over Brooke, plain and simple. Definitely not a fan of Lucas & Peyton, but I blame Peyton mostly. Stop letting her off the hook guys….

Haha, love “Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice F you” but I do like “Fool me once F, you” better!! This will definitely come in effect later on in the series.

I really like the Nathan and Peyton friendship and wish you had commented on it also. I wish there was WAY more of that in season five!
I agree Peyton totally messed up. She should have been honest with Brooke from the beginning and none of this would have happened, however that would have made for a pretty boring show!
I'll look forward to your comments on the next episode, because I think Peyton redeems herself a little and gets a bit of what she deserves.
Again, I like Peyton and Brooke's friendship and hate it when they fight!

Once again love the podcast and having Jackie back. Having three people is better because then we hear more points of view. I agree that Lucas is to blame. He pursued her and doesn't seem to really care if he is hurting Brooke. Peyton on the other hand, has been beating herself up over what she is doing. Yes, she shouldn't have cheated with him, so she deserves a little of the blame.

And I am an LP fan, so I am being honest here.

Welcome back Jackie!
lol sucks about your wine
but yeah I think post office
mail in Italy would've been alot.

Sara, dont worry
I agreew with you on Lucas,
he upsets me all the time, and he really holds the blame!

Cant wait for next week,
hopefully u guys put the podcast sooner!
you're hilarious

Jackie's back!!!!!! Yay!

I liked this podcast and I agreed with mostly everything I can remember.

I do think that Lucas deserve more of the blame but Peyton should get it just as bad also. Getting backstabbed by your boyfriend/girlfriend, whatever. Getting backstabbed by your bestfriend of seven years is way worst. Your bestfriend is suppose to be your moral support the one you go to after you get backstabbed or whatever happened.

Lol at Lucas singing debute! He could have sung a little better but he was just in a coma so I'll cut him some slack.

I can't wait for the next podcast to see what you think about that episode because it's pretty good if it's the one I think it is.

Great job as always!

P.S. You guys are a bunch of alcoholics aren't you...lol! Just joking, we all love our share of alcohol.

im listening to the podcast right now!
and they mentioned something about whos more to blame for the love triangle between brooke, lucas, and peyton.
is it peyton?? or lucas??

i think their both equally at fault.
because he's her boyfriend and not only is it wrong to cheat period, but to cheat with your girlfriends best friend....that just makes it 100 times worse.
and with peyton...that just blows me away.
that is 'supposed' to be her BEST FRIEND.
theyve known eachother for their entire lives practically...and she's doing that!!

well thats just one persons opinion!
=]

Welcome back Jackie!!
( although I did love the sarcastic banter between Sarah and Mia)

Guys you rock! I love this podcast because your opinions of the show are alot more realistic and honest. Some of the fans are so immature and petty about what is morally right to just appease their favorite character.

I am so angry with PUCAS.....I'm mean leyton. I'm honestly hating on them right now, because both luke and peyton are wrong. peyton has been friends with brooke since she was 8,(wtf) what kind of friend does that? And luke is supposed to be her boyfriend, when she has openly stated how she doesn't feel good enough for him, and is insecure.....and he's cheating on her with her bff. I hold them both to an extremly accountable in this situation however, I blame them differntly.
I blame luke for not making up his mind, and for trying to have his cake and eat it too. I blame him for being a crappy version of his messed up dad. ( this is not the first love triangle in tree hill)
I blame peyton for screwing up her friendship which should withstand a guy. Peyton can't use the arguement that maybe this is THE guy because when luke wanted EVERYTHING with her( total pressure for a 16 year old girl) she backed away. She wasn't ready for that comitment and we can all see that peyton has issues.
Anyways Petyon should have been honest from the beginning and if now she has feelings for luke, should could have told brooke, had a fight and gotten over it, instead of acting like shes the victim for liking him. she has a choice and she made it to cheat.

lastly, i feel for haley. She was right to react like she did, both with the fight with luke and then later with nate. However nathan wasnt saying that their relationship started becuz he was trying to mess with luke. its pretty clear that he had honest feelings for her when they started but yes he went after her for tutoring and friendship becuz if luke. it just came across the wrong way, which is seemingly going to repeat itself in the future, since even in season 5, nathan is so passive when addressing his faults wih haley.

and sarah, ur not the only one with the luke hate right now. after watching season 5 and 1 over, i just want him to squint himself to death or make up his mind. luke can be such a jerk sometimes but of course hesthe hero, so he rarely gets blamed for his mistakes.

I Totally agree with you guys on everything. I still Blame Lucas really I couldn't care less for Lucas and his love life. All I care for is NH and PH, NP friendship. Also about Peyton need Lucas in her life she did Tell Haley that "I just want him to wake up so I can tell him that I'm In Love w/ him. So it's different from Haley needing Lucas and Peyton needing Lucas. Peyton was IN LOVE with him. So other then that. ITA! w/ everything.

Also I do notice you guys miss a lot from podcasting. I like Peyton and Nathan conversation too, Peyton help him out there encouraging him.

The return of the CW 3. You guys were hilarious.

Just wait until next episode..the s*** will hit the fan at the end of the episode.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice..."F" you. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I think that Lucas and Peyton are both to blame on the whole cheating scenario. Lying, cheating...not a good thing. Like I said..it is definately gonna hit the fan.
