News Roundup: More Lindsey on One Tree Hill, Jared Padalecki's Movie Setback, And Ed Westwick: Poet?
Lots of CW news bits circulating this week:
*One Tree Hill's Lindsey will return for multiple episodes next season! TV Guide reports that even though Michaela McManus will also appear on SVU, she's made time to return to OTH for more than one episode. After last season's ups and downs with Lucas, we thought we'd seen the last of Lindsey, but it looks like she's back for more. Are you excited about this casting news?

*In other news, remember Jared Padalecki's Christmas movie? Lionsgate has quietly removed it from its big-screen offerings and changed it to a direct-to-video title. Ouch.
We figured something was wrong with the picture when it wasn't actually released last Christmas. We can't imagine there was any problem with the acting -- Jared starred alongside movie luminaries Peter O'Toole and Marcia Gay Harden -- so we're guessing something went terribly awry with the story, which is inspired by the life of Thomas Kinkade (the "Painter of Light") or the production, which Kinkade was heavily involved in. And while we weren't exactly salivating for the Thomas Kinkade Story, we are bummed for Jared -- this sounded like his chance for mainstream movie success. Maybe next time, Jared!
*Ed Westwick has been making news for yet another one of his talents. Besides his considerable acting prowess (who else could play Chuck Bass?) and musical abilities in his band, The Filthy Youth, the British star revealed to People that he's also a poet. Read one of Ed's poems and tell us what you think: should he keep pumping out the poems or stick to his day job?

I feel bad for Jared that the movie won't be released in theatres. I understood that they wanted to do re-shoots (possibly for MGH's scenes?) but then decided they didn't have the money and just released it on DVD instead.

I'm sorry for Jared, I don't know what to say about the movie, hope it's ok. I saw teh trailer and decided to give it a chance, so I'll buy the DVD.
As for Jared, he'll make it one day on the big screen but I still think that the role of Sam Winchester is the role of his life. Hope , one day, after season 5 ends, they'll make a Supernatural movie asa a closure...
That's a Christmas wish:)

I heard that they had to re-shoot a bunch of Marsha Gay Harden scenes because they didn't like the way she played Kinkade's mother. Even Oscar winners can screw up sometimes. Also I read some of the sides and they were god-awful. Why she or O'Toole would sign onto such a weak project is just baffling to me. I guess Kinkade must have thrown buckets of money at them.
I also have to wonder if the last two parts of the trilogy will ever get made. I guess that will depend on how well this one sells on DVD.

More of Lindsey on OTH?? Not excited about that at all. As long as she doesn't interfere with LP, I'm good.
Jared's movie not on the big screen? Man that sucks! :( I'm a huge fan of his and would love seeing him at the theater.
And for Ed. I love him on GG but have never heard his music. He's probably great. So for the poet part, who knows. But, he should stick with his acting! :)
