Top Model Goes Green... And Invisible

What on earth were they smoking?
Okay, did we dream up last night's episode of Top Model? It seems like something only our subconscious, loopy minds could concoct: head-to-toe Lycra green suits, a war on immigrants, and good Cover Girl commercials. But no, it really happened, and we were thoroughly entertained -- were you? There was so much insanity this week, we almost forgot about the elimination.

First, the wackiness. The challenge involved modeling to make the clothes look pretty -- while the models were hidden in green Lycra bodysuits that rendered them invisible in front of a screen. Please tell us we weren't the only ones doubled over in laughter watching the clothes seem to dance across the stage by themselves! Sheena sashayed her way across the stage in a ruffled dress -- but a little too much. Poor Marjorie completely lost the top of her dress! But Elina did the best, and she won the challenge -- and a holiday-themed spread in Seventeen.

Cue house fight! Sheena and Sam were furious, supposedly because Elina doesn't believe in Christmas (she's an atheist). Elina and Marjorie couldn't even believe what they were hearing, and the feud led to a faceoff between Elina and Sheena. Sheena may be tough, but we think Elina could take her in a second -- sure enough, Elina got the last word in their argument. The rest of the episode was spent in a house divided, and according to Sheena, it's now divided into Good vs. Evil. Come on, Sheena, we thought you were better than that!

Then the girls did Cover Girl commercials -- and no one blew it! Well, this time around they had a teleprompter, so there really wasn't an excuse. Even Joslyn, who was losing her lunch just a few minutes before the shoot, fared okay. Analeigh was amazing, and Tyra said her commercial was the best in the history of Top Model! We also liked Sheena's and Elina's, even though the judges weren't huge fans.

At panel, Tyra forced the girls to walk in hideous clogs (Sheena still brought it, in spite of the awkward shoes!) because... they're going to Amsterdam! Seeing Paulina and Miss Jay in braided pigtails was a highlight, but even more hilarious was Nigel, idly waving a Dutch flag and looking embarrassed at all the hullabaloo.

Elimination time. Tyra narrowed it down to Elina and Joslyn, and we were stunned. Elina's not that bad, Tyra! We don't understand why you -- and all the judges -- are so hard on her week after week. Joslyn went home, but Elina is barely hanging on to this competition, and we really can't figure out why, except for the fact that Tyra doesn't seem to like her.

What do you think -- should Elina be doing better, or is she on the edge of elimination for a reason? Who's doing the best now, and who will be heading home next week? Tell us what you think in the comments!
