Smallville: Family ties

Kara reveals there is an escape hatch able to return Lois and Clark back to Earth that opens with drops of her own blood. Despite this clear cut escape route in place, Kara chose not to utilize the portal herself to exit this torturous prison in order to keep the Zoners from sneaking out along with her and wrecking havoc on Earth. Clark and Kara convince Lois to go ahead without them through the portal and sure enough, a Zoner follows. And not just any Zoner, General Zod’s wife, Faora follows on Lois’ heels and quickly possesses the girl’s body to search for her son.
Back on Earth, Chloe stumbles upon remnants of Clark and Lois’ disappearance and finds Clark’s crystal. She convinces Oliver to steal a generator from Tess Mercer so she can hack into alien technology and read the data contained within the crystal. As she taps into the crystals powers, Chloe’s nose starts to bleed and her eyes turn white, completely freaking out Oliver. Whatever Chloe does to control the crystal, it somehow brings back both Clark and an uncertain Kara from the Phantom Zone.
Faora as Lois heads over to the hospital to catch a glimpse of her son -- Davis! Davis thinks Lois must be on drugs when she embraces him and refers to him as her son. To convince Davis of his true heritage, Faora/Lois impales him through the chest with a metal rod and leaves him for dead. Seems Faora and Zod were unable to conceive due to their phantom status, so they sent Davis to Earth as genetic matter containing their planet’s life forms so he would evolve to become Earth’s ultimate destroyer. After bleeding out, Davis finds the hole in his chest completely healed. He tries to stab himself to test Faora’s revelation and the blade shatters when making contact with his skin.
After some struggle, Kara sucks Faora out of Lois’ body, leaving Lois to believe the episode’s events were all a wacky dream. Kara and Clark part, much to his chagrin as he enjoyed being connected to a blood relative. Kara reminds Clark that his path is to live among humans inspiring mankind.
Back at the Daily Planet, Tess confronts Clark about Lex’s disappearance. Clark plays coy. Tess finds Clark appealing and admits her desire to trust him, but wants to find out why Lex didn’t.
