One Tree Hill: Plenty o' New Goodness
What we loved: We absolutely loved the fact that they auditioned all of the Nathan actors shirtless. That’s really as it should be. And we’re pretty sure we’re not supposed to love the Beekster…but we do. It’s just so perfect to see our Dawson as a director. We never tire of him.
What we didn’t love: Peyton’s not even showing yet so why is she freaking out about building a crib and baby proofing the house? Lighten up sister, you have months and months of pregnancy to be miserable. But how hilarious is it that Skills is a baby proofer? He spots dozens of PBIs (possible baby injuries) as he walks in the door.
What’s up with Lucas: He has a diva moment when Julian and Reese press him but he still can’t manage to decide on which actress to hire as Peyton until he closes his eyes and goes with his heart.
What’s up with Dan: We’re suckers for Dan and the kid scenes but think it’s kind of sad that once again, Scott fellas argued over a woman. Will the madness never end?
What’s up with Brooke: At first Brooke is flattered by her alter-ego and offers to help coach the method actress to become the best part of Lucas’ movie. But the girl is annoying at best—especially when she shows up naked in the backseat of Brooke’s car. Talk about your nasty flashbacks!
What’s up with Nathan: The coach cuts Nathan’s nemesis and gives number 12 the green light to start. Unfortunately, it’s hard for Nathan to take seeing the guy with his family as he walks out the gym door.
What’s up with Haley: Haley tells Samantha that she won the school essay contest. Unfortunately, there are too many references to sex and drugs in it so the higher ups but the kibosh on it before it’s even published. Will Haley go against the powers that be, even if it means her job? We wouldn’t be surprised at all.

This episode was pretty good, but im worried about the state that Luke is in, mostly because it looks like it is goign to be rough for his relationship with Peyton down the road. It seems like the writer is still trying to unsmoothly keep as many viewers as possible by saying things that give BL fans hope or whatever: "You DO have a type" or whatever the minibrooke said about the julian/lucas parallels...hmmm....I want brooke to be happy, but with julian, not luke anymore....Peytons storyline was kind of blah and unrealistic....But im glad haley has something to do on the show now.

I love One Tree Hill. It is the best season ever. I have to know if there is going to be a seventh one. I love Peyton and Lucas and I want to see them married next season and raising the baby. Plus, there's more plot to deal with, Brooke and Julian, maybe even Owen. Not to mention, Mouth and Millie. It's the best show on the CW and a lot of their new shows seem to struggle.

WOW....LOVED this episode.
It was a little too soon for the crib but it was still cute.
Brooke, got around a bit and they did portray that througthout the show, but she did change and we loved fun, spontenious, wild brooke!!!
I love the Brooke and Julian Scenes! I love the way Brooke Cries, I seriously try to model after it ( i know she didnt cry, but her voice was shakin). She is an awesome actress!!!
Need I say anything about the Leyton Scenes!!! Amazing!!! I seriously had tears on the whole sonogram scence!!!
Love the music choice too!!! The Fray is Amazing!
Love the movie cast voice overs...brings up good memories!
Can't wait for the next episode!!! Too bad we have to wait a whole month! Does anybody know why they are having so many Re-Runs?!?!?!?!?!?!?

BROOKE WAS NOT JUST A SLUT IN HIGH SCHOOL!
Yes, she was somewhat of a slut. Okay, fine. But she was not a slut once she knew Lucas, and since LUCAS wrote the book, he should not have portrayed her as a slut. And if that's how Julian wrote the character description, obviously that's how he wrote the book.
And I love JuB, really, I do. But again, when Julian was like, I was talking abouty the old Brooke, before anyone knew the real you. Hello?! Lucas knew the real her!!! And MArk, once again, is completely ignoring that! Lucas should have said somehting when he read that description, because he was the only one who even knew her in high school.
Woo-freaking-hoo. They mentioned pretty girl and changing the world. They also devoted half the screen time to fake-peyton saying memorable Leyton lines, and Lucas having a spaz attack to cats the right Peyton. What about casting the right Brooke? Because Lucas did one heck of a job there.
If Brooke was half the book, like Nate said, she would've been half the movie, and half the episode casting her, like with Peyton. Not so much. Not at all, actually. So much for Lucas not wanting this lost in translation. Apparently, his idea of lost ion translation is turning an epic love story into a boy in love with blondie and a slut. Good job, Luke.
I'm lving Brooke/Julian, but I want a REAL Brucas confrontation scene, or at least some real acknowledgment of brucas.
Whatever. This is officialy Leyton Tree Hill, and Brooke is just living in it.

Was I hallucinating or did you blink and miss it? Other students were congratulating Sam .. lots of students holding what was apparently the school newspaper .. and Haley following the principal into her office. It certainly was made to LOOK like Haley printed Sam's essay verbatim and was going to be hearing about it.
I completely agree regarding Peyton doing her freak-out and building the crib (including registering for baby gifts), WAY too early. I think the sonogram alone would have been enough to remind us of the baby storyline .. and leave more stuff for later episodes (unless there's a special reason why they really wanted to do all this now??)

Okey, I have to say this: I never saw Brooke as a high school slut. And I know you might thing I'm naiv just because Brooke is my all time favorite character, but seriously, from the first episode we meet her she's interessted in Lucas.
I know they are referring to her having sex with lots of boys before her, but we haven't seen that. Okay, yes, she had sex with Nathan, then again, she was drunk! She's kissed lots of boys, but hasn't slept with them. She also had the friends with benefits thing with Felix because she was afraid of a relationship, and him ending up hurting her like Lucas did.
I honestly did not see her as a slut! I just saw a party girl, who knew how to have fun her in her. I don't see anything with liking sex or exploring while you're a teenage girl. And I'm so tired of the fact that it's only girl who're sluts and whores... Besides, she's definately a changed person, I do not see the need to bring up her past like she's the hometown whore! Brooke should be proud of who she used to be, she was captain of the cheerleading squad, she was student body president and she created a clothing line! I hate the fact that she said she's not the person she used to be. I loved that person, that's the Brooke I fell for. I'm proud of her now, but I was also proud of her back then. Lucas changed her for the better, before him maybe she did sleep with guys from time to time, but not after Lucas.
I really liked Julian and Brooke this episode too. I shed a few tears in their last scene... But I do thing Brooke forgave him too easily... And how stinking great was Brooke when she lashed out on Lucas telling him "You! How could you write such horrible things about me?! YOU WHO CALLED ME YOUR PRETTY GIRL AND SAID THAT I WAS GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD SOMEDAY!"... Ahh, the mention of the Pretty Girl nickname. Made me cry a little too... Oh, and I cheered when she threw the jacket at Julian telling him he was dead wrong if he thought she was a slut. Girl power, hell yeah!
Did not like Peyton crying once again. I'm just so annoyed by it. I liked how she kept trying to put the crib together.

Bethany Joy Galeotti did a good job directing the episode.
I am sick of Julian being constantly made out to be "the new Lucas" so that us BL fans would accept him. How many times must they make their relationship like BL's? There were so many moments that had us BL fans going "um, deja vu?!" Mark is trying so hard to get us to forget and move on. It's not working.
And nice try Mark. Trying to correct your "pretty girl" mistake by relinking it to BL. I, for one, am still pissed about it. And I doubt I'll ever forget. Just as I am sure LP fans would be pissed if a signature LP moment or saying was connected to BL all of the sudden.

A nice episode. I was very happy that Lucas came through at the end. What a sweet guy=)
Also, I can't post in the latest episode of Supernatural. it keeps telling me I have timed out! I've tried on multiple days, tried refreshing, different numbers but Gah! It won't work!
Hopefully this works here!

Hey girls,
I'll be e-amiling yo lso, but just request for you to put up the weekly OTH and GG podcasts up before around 4 in your time.
As I live in England, I don't normally get to listen to them until the next morning, which sucks as I anyway see the episodes a day late.
Is this possible? (Please say yes) ;)
Thanks muchly, ta xx

As I mentioned before, Peyton and Lucas are apart more now than they were when they're weren't a couple. I feel sorry Peyton and nervous about the whole thing when I see her do things like delete the real message for Lucas and replace it with a phony upbet one. Thank God he came thoruhg at the end and showed up for the appointment. That was very Lucas of him and it reminded me why we love him so much. Good catch P. Soyer, good catch.
I'm really loving Brooke and Julien. He's better suited to Brooke's personality because he's edgy and unpredictable and sweet all at once. Better suited to her than Lucas. He's more on her pace.
I agree that it was a bit too soon to see Peyton freak out about a crib and baby proofing the place. LOL, but it was kinda cute.
Great episode.
